Yesterday I had the distinct pleasure of speaking to the Rotary Club of Santa Fe about the battle of the Alamo. I used the map of the Alamo garrison, drawn by Lt. Col. Ygnacio de Labastida, commander of engineers for General Santa Anna in 1836, to show what happened on the morning of March 6, 1836. The map was projected onto a large screen.
The club members asked great questions and I was told I had great answers.
My thanks to club president John R. Adams (pictured with me) for the invitation.
