Not long ago, I was reminded of the words of that grand writer of the Southwest, Max Evans, who said, “When you sit down to write a novel, you have to let the reader do some of the work.” In other words, while the author tells the story, describes the action and gives life to the characters, the reader has to use their imagination to see it unfolding in their mind.
Some would argue that a book trailer might interfere with that process, revealing too much of that action and those characters. Maybe they’d be right, but my intention with this trailer is to entice anyone who might wonder what else there is to say about the Alamo.
